Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

4 May

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4)Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Yet again I’m amazed at how much I forgot that happened in these books from the first time I read them. Also, since the movies changed up a few things I was surprised at some of the stuff that was twisted up there. In particular, the way in which Harry got his hands on the Gillyweed. I’m really glad I chose to re-read this series as in addition to forgetting stuff, I also am picking up on more things that are foreshadowed in the early books but aren’t explained until later. There are lots of little hidden tidbits throughout and it sheds a new light on some things by reading the books again. Now… onto #5 as there are only about 10 weeks left until the last movie releases! đŸ™‚

This was the first Harry Potter book I actually bought rather than borrowed, so I guess I was finally committed to the series by this point. Yes, I remember the Gillyweed part being different between the novel and the movie. And, although I don’t recall the specifics, the battle with the dragon was changed quite a bit for the movie to make it more cinematic.
