Review: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5)Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Everyone tends to say that the Order of the Phoenix movie is the most boring of the series, that nothing goes on in it, etc.. etc… Well, those people need to read the book as this is one of the most intense books in the series. It does have some slow-ish bits where things are explained, but that’s what makes the series so interesting. Things slowly unravel and everything starts to make sense. There are a lot of "ah ha" moments in this book. For example, the prophecy and adding to that, the person that stated the prophecy initially. So even though this may not have been the best movie when it hit theaters, it’s a VERY important book. As I read through it this second time I paid more attention to who did what and was like "oh yeah!" as I was reading a long as I had forgotten a lot of the bits and pieces and was surprised all over again about how different things had come about. It really is a series that needs to be read twice, if not even a third time in order to pick up on everything.

Now… two more books to make it through before the movie comes out in July. 🙂
